About

Andaaza here! I run this baking blog. It’s my love letter to whole wheat flour (among other ingredients) and evidence of the divine intervention the COVID-19 quarantine gave me to bake. If you, like me, love spending an afternoon grating zucchini into ten different dishes and not letting a lack of an ice cream machine stop you from beating the summer heat, I daresay you’ll fit in pretty well here.

My recipes are created with tweaks, estimation, and ingredients that can usually be found at home. My sister, who you can call Baariki, helps sometimes (and is the best amateur food photographer in my book). The number one difference between us is that I have a healthy disregard for measuring cups, whereas if she catches me just pouring cocoa powder from the jar, she gets a very disappointed look on her face.

But you can count on us to give you recipes that not only work, but delight. We make fun, from-scratch vegetarian food you’d want to see on your table and convey that wholesomeness in readable, consistently tasty recipe posts. We like to make food and our family likes to eat. It’s a good setup. We hope y’all enjoy this passion project of ours!
