Cookie dough pretzel bites are the best salty and sweet pairing. The cookie dough is delightfully rich and chewy, and it pairs wonderfully with the crunch of the pretzels. This dessert will make you wonder why they were ever kept apart. These bites are also delightfully easy to make. Simply make the cookie dough, sandwich it between two pretzels, freeze for 20 minutes, then enjoy! We believe a little cookie dough goes a long way, so this recipe yields about 60 bites for us. But depending on whether you want them to be more sweet or salty, you could end up with much more or less than that. However you make them, know that these cookie dough pretzel bites are a revelation.

minutesIngredients
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp milk
1/8 tsp salt
6 tbsp chocolate chips
about 120 mini pretzels
Directions
- In a medium heat-safe bowl, cook the flour on medium heat on the stove for 5-7 minutes, stirring continually. This is to kill bacteria and make the cookie dough safe to consume raw. Cool completely.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy and lightened in color. Add milk and cream again.
- Mix together flour and salt, then add slowly into the wet ingredients. Fold together. Then fold the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
- Roll dough into 1 teaspoon-size balls. I prefer to keep the amount of cookie dough in the bites small because I like the salt-to-sweet ratio this gives the bites. Sandwich the cookie dough between two pretzels and line the bites up on the baking tray. Then freeze for 20 minutes to set. The cookie dough pretzels bites are now ready to enjoy! They should then be stored in the refrigerator.
